I never knew I could love photos of myself so much.
I don’t even know where to begin. Our experience with Valerie and Michael was exceptional. We booked a full day elopement with them and the whole process was such a dream. We had been avoiding planning our wedding for years because we just could not find something that felt right, but one day we stumbled across their website after exploring elopement options and we felt the vibe instantly.
Initially I was worried about not having met them until the wedding day, feeling “seen” in the intimate moments, being in front of a camera, you name it. But as soon as they walked through the door on the wedding morning, we were at ease. Such wonderful people. We can genuinely say we made amazing friends that day and that they massively added to the experience. A wedding and new friends in the same day!
The actual planning was a breeze. I can get lost in the details, but having the full day put together with suggestions on locations, specific hikes, hotels, restaurants, etc made it feel so much easier. And the suggestions were incredible with backups in case of inclement weather. We ended up having to use our backup location because of rough conditions but I think I preferred it in the end. It rained pretty consistently which I was worried about, but it made the experience even more memorable and intimate.

Valerie and Michael are the absolute best at what they do. I couldn’t be happier with our elopement photos. What really set them apart from everyone else was how comfortable we felt with them from the first phone call and the fact that they truly cared that our wedding day was perfect. They listened to our very vague description of “we want to get married by a waterfall,” then got to know us as a couple, found out what was important to us, and the result was a beautiful elopement that felt like a fairy tale we were sharing with two friends who happened to be taking photos of us.
They found the perfect location for us (we were coming from out of town), recommended a hair/makeup artist that was out of this world, and helped us stay on track with every aspect of planning the event. They really made it effortless for us and made the planning process enjoyable.

Wander Kings captured the story of our elopement in a way that allows us to relive those emotions and inspires us to keep dreaming up adventures together.
Our elopement day was only made more seamless and stress-free with Valerie and Michael as our photographers. From helping us navigate the scary legal stuff like the marriage license and park permits to being google maps extraordinaries and itinerary time wizards, to lacing up my boots and helping with the sooo many buttons on my dress so we could get ready separately and have a first look. And just being overall great company who were excited to crack open a beer and appreciate the sunset with us. I should add—if you are nervous to be in front of cameras for a whole day, you can relax! The Wander Kings will totally be your biggest fans, and no one will hype you up for pictures as much as they do! Which brings me back to our own images, which are above and beyond what we could have imagined they would be.

Our whole day felt like a dream.
When it came to eloping, my husband and I really wanted the day to be solely focused on each other and really soak every second in. The Wander Kings went out of their way to make sure that’s exactly what we got. They were personable, adaptable, and truly amazing throughout our whole experience! They took everything we said we had wanted out of our day and made it a reality! They are truly a dynamic duo and made our day so so so so perfect and easy for us, I cannot think of anyone else I would want to capture our day… I mean c’mon look at these pictures!!! You don’t need to look anywhere else when it comes to photography and planning an elopement. We will relive and cherish this day forever thanks to them. Eternally grateful to have found them and for them to had come on this epic journey with us!! Wander Kings was so attentive, compassionate and flexible with all our changing information.
I’m not sure how I got so lucky! I found Wander Kings (Lynn & Michael) on Instagram and was immediately drawn to the photography style, magical, detailed and dreamy. They really know what they’re doing.
Fast forward to wedding day and they amazed me with how quickly they got myself, my husband and my family together to get all the shots that I had requested. I got sneak peeks from the wedding photos THE NEXT DAY, which made me cry tears of joy because everyone knows how fast your wedding day goes by and it was just so beautiful and special to see the photos and get them so quickly.
Our full gallery was sent to us a few weeks before we were supposed to get them and I can’t put into words how beautiful and special they are to me. I knew I was going to get back beautiful pictures but honestly Wander Kings exceeded my expectations. There were some small details in the photos that they captured intentionally that absolutely warmed my heart. Thank you Valerie & Michael you two are absolutely amazing.
